We live in a world characterized by looking on what's on the outside than that of the inside. It's creating the first impression and the world sees you as you are, most of the time permanently. We can't deny this fact. But we can alter how we think for the mind is such a powerful thing.
When it comes to beauty, everyone wants to be recognized with it. It is always the talk of the town, from the media advertisements to the people we just happen to pass by. People are visual beings and we appreciate whatever is aesthetic. We are that for almost always. Therefore, one of our responsibilities in this lifetime is to keep ourselves beautiful--spiritually, socially, and even for often times physically. So how do we achieve beauty given that we are all unique in our image and likeness? To start off, we have to conquer the ugly us. By the word ugly, it means a bad character, a disturbing habit, an impolite manner, an unpleasant look, and all other things we can associate with it. Dealing with our own ugliness is to tell ourselves we are ugly and ask back, why. When we find the reasons, we must then resolve this by deciding to be beautiful. Once we've made this decision, we begin to act accordingly. We have to because these changes are good for us. If our ugliness is about our character or personality, then we search for guides and apply what we read. If we have to make pleasant what is unpleasant looking, then we should learn about it and choose what products suit us and use them routinely. Not only do we contribute to adding the lovely sights of this world, but we contribute more to our advantage. Our self-esteem is boosted. We know well we can do more and better things when our self-esteem is high. So we have done it. But for most part, the bigger challenge is to maintain the beauty. We have to constantly practice the new things we've learned about being beautiful and be conscious of our growth process.Until then, it becomes natural in us.
